Oceanside Harbor - Located at the north end of Oceanside, Oceanside Harbor is San Diego County's north most harbor, 37 miles north of San Diego and 83 miles south of Los Angeles.

The beautiful Oceanside Harbor is a popular spot to spend the day for boaters, water-sport lovers, and tourists who come to enjoy the quaint shops, terrific dining, and colorful beach atmosphere.

Born in Tanzania (East Africa), by both Italian parents, lived in Tanzania and Italy and currently I reside in California.

This website contains my ongoing travel blog, with pictures of my paintings of journey I have taken.

Through our journeys we meet so many different kinds of people, have so many interesting conversations, seen such beautiful sights, and learn about different cultures. We learned so much about the world around us, and our own place in it.

We learned about the culture, history, society, food, religion etc. in each place we visited not only from reading books but from talking to people who are native of the country that we were visiting.

Bed and Breakfast Ginester ... in the heart of Rome

Bed and Breakfast Ginester is strategically placed for reaching many of the most beautiful and attractive places in Rome, either on foot or by short trips using the public services.

The name “Ginester” is intended as a tribute to our grandparents Gino and Esterina and to their well-known hospitality. Quiet and provided with all comforts, the bed and breakfast is situated in a small block of flats within a large, green garden, in which you will be able to admire the imposing, almost centenarian magnolia which grandmother Esterina gave us.

Facing the ancient and fascinating Mura Aureliane (Aurelian Walls), near the old Porta Latina (Latin Gate), it is the ideal place for the person who wants to go also on foot to discover places in Rome.

Going through the Porta Latina (Latin Gate), you will find yourselves in a few minutes at the Baths of Caracalla, and from there your will be able to reach easily the Circo Massimo (Circus Maximus), the complex of the Palatino (Palatine) and the Colosseo (Colosseum).

The bed and breakfast is well connected, being at little more than 10’ walk from the SAN GIOVANNI stop of the Metro A Line (with which it is possible to reach Piazza di Spagna (the Spanish Steps), San Pietro (St. Peter’s), the Musei Vaticani (Vatican Museums), etc.). It is also only a few minutes’ walk from the EPIRO bus stop of the 628 bus, which will take you in about 15’ to Piazza Venezia (passing by the Terme di Caracalla (Baths of Caracalla), the Circo Massimo (Circus Maximus), the Colosseo (Colosseum), the Bocca della Verità (Mouth of Truth) and the Campidoglio (Capitol), with the Musei Capitolini (Capitoline Musems)).

You will be welcomed with hospitality and courtesy and we will be happy to provide you with all the information you need to make your stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
